With Moms Day just around the corner, I think it’s time to dust off this idea and try it again. I’ll admit, my timing for introducing this idea the first time around wasn't that bright – but I was thankful at least Andrea joined in. Anyway, in honor of Mother’s Day, why not salute a mom (including yourself) by creating a Supermom trading card and adding it to the Flickr Gallery. With tons of moms now blogging out there, I think we could create quite an impressive showing on Flickr if we just spread the word. And creating a tradecard is easy given this handy dandy image generator.
To participate:
1. Create your own trading card here.
2. Then upload your card to your free Flickr account and add the keyword tag SMTradecard to the image and also mark it public so that it can join the Gallery. (also viewable as slideshow)
3. and then spread the word.
Wouldn't it be great to have a 100 SuperMom Cards by Mom's Day? :)
PS: If you've added your trading card, tagged it, marked it public and it's still not showing... try adjusting the public setting (image). Also if you're new to Flickr, their FAQs state that you have to have at least 5 photos in your account and have been a member for at least 5 days before they include your images in public tags. I'll be happy to post a tradecard to my account for you if this is the case.
